Specialisms
I specialise in holding space for those who feel "in-between" worlds - neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ and identity-expansive souls who are seeking to be seen wholly. In addition to this, I have extensive experience in working with sexual abuse, depression and intergenerational trauma.

The world sadly makes more space for and normalises certain identities and cultures, namely that of Eurocentric, White, cis-heteronormative and able-bodied individuals. We all walk around with aspects of our experience that we have been unable to access or integrate fully, whoever we are. There is a need to create breathing space for the voices in us that are marginalised by the culture we live in, and work with you to open those doors within yourself.
I help individuals to illuminate the truth of who they are, helping them integrate scattered parts of themselves. I support people to weave belonging, clarity, and empowerment where there has been misunderstanding and hurt.

Training
My psychotherapy training was in Patricia Clarkson's Relational Model which draws on theory from psychodynamic, humanistic, person-centred and transpersonal ideas of therapy. I bring a keen focus to the relationship within the work I do and believe that it is within this container the healing can take place.
I am also a qualified Reiki Master and use this in my therapeutic practice to help connect with the body if this feels aligned for the client and the work; reiki helps the body to relax, intuition to arise and stored energy in the body to release. Additionally, I use a technique called Focussing, a meditative practice that aids bodily enquiry and deeper listening to the inner experience. Where helpful to your process I use chair work, music, drawing and writing as therapeutic aids to help with your self-expression.

I am trauma-informed in the work I do and work deeply with clients to identify what wounds are holding them back in life, helping them to lean into the pain so it can receive the attention it needs to heal. We are taught to avoid or fix our pain, this is a misguided myth; in the context of therapy, the solution is in building enough trust in the therapeutic relationship to make space for the grief to breathe. In doing this inner freedom is enabled. It's hard work, but it's heart work, and I am here to guide and walk alongside you in this process.
Get to know me
I grew up in South East London and have resided in Brighton since 2022. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2013 with the fortune of working with organisations such as Stonewall, The Advocacy Project, Bipolar UK and the NHS.
I offer transparency around aspects of my identity, as I am aware this can be important to clients when searching for a therapist who can understand and 'meet you'. While we may not necessarily seek a therapist who offers similarities to our lived experience, I recognise that for many this can offer safety.

So, for those it is meaningful to, I identify as a Non-binary, Queer person with British and European heritage. I have AuDHD and mental health lived experience; my lived experience informs my practice and I provide an inclusive space in which all aspects of identity can be honoured and repaired where shame may have been planted. Working with an intersectional lens is at the centre of my practice.

I connect with the concept of the wounded healer, and believe the journey I have undergone and continue to undergo allows me to hold space with breadth, nuance and realness. My spiritual practice allows me to bring strength and insight in the work I do, assisting me in amplifying the transpersonal aspects of psychotherapy. I hold a belief in God/the Universe and am committed to the Buddhist Path, inspired by the teachings of Zen Buddhist Monk and peace Activist Thich Nhat Hanh.

In my spare time I enjoy the theatre, improv class, practicing mediation, reading tarot with friends, forest bathing, activism, good food in community, yoga and staying fit. I have a passion for building community, so if I'm not doing any of the above, I'm probably setting up community for one cause or another!
